The room and the terrace

Two rooms, one long lunch.

Starz opened in Centro Plaza in 2006 and has been the neighbourhood’s kitchen table ever since. The dining room was rebuilt from scratch — rattan pendants, warm brick, a proper bar — and the terrace stayed exactly where it should be, under the red awnings with the sun on it.

Inside for the quiet lunch and the good coffee. Outside for the market crowd on Saturdays, the dog at your feet and an hour you didn’t plan on staying.

What people order

A menu that can’t decide where it’s from — which is the point.

Swedish skagen toast next to chicken katsu curry, next to a 200g prime beef burger, next to a Greek salad. Twelve sections, all served from one kitchen, all day.

  • SaturdaysThe Puerto Banús street market runs right beside us. Come early for a table on the terrace — by eleven it fills up.
